As 2010 gets well and truly underway, and with New Year we look back at past sins events that shaped the year that was 2009. Cleavagedownunder as a band (OK purists, we are technically a comic musical act – sorta) went from strength to strength with it’s patented (Pending) method of “mimesational” performance to our loving fans (all 7 of you) and thoroughly enjoyed the year.
But when the year is looked at in retrospect, a few famous people did leave us during the year.
They seemed to all be ….
-
Falling off the perch
-
Pushing up the daisies,
-
Meeting their maker
-
Bitten the dust
-
Crossing the Jordan
-
Gone into the fertilizing business
-
Rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible
-
Gone tits up
-
and so on.

Reference to the parrot sketch, not Cleese falling off the perch!
So we thought it would be fitting to review a few of the famous, infamous and not so famous deaths in show biz and music of 2009.
Firstly with the Aussie list. We were going to combine them into one general list, but it would take way too long for ALL media personalities from across the world. So Aussie list first, then the rest as we find time!
… some of those that departed us this year:

Billy May died New years Eve after complications with Pneumonia. (Billy was a great show producer, and brought “Walking with Dinosaurs” to life most recently!
Condolences to Malcolm from us at CDU.
(Note Captain got into trouble from Foxy as he did not tell her that Billy had died. She was in fact informed by Director Finlayson of the Bittern College of the Arts!)
